Students develop their BLTS’s and learn through multiple intelligences by ‘walking the [teacher’s] course’. The teacher will use the space within the classroom and potentially the open space within blocks, by placing key information sheets on the walls of the learning environment. They are designed to incorporate pictures, key words, dates and facts, in order for memory and revision strategies to be developed. Students are placed in groups, and in turn are sent on a walk to discover key information. They must memorise it before returning to their groups and need to share what they have retained verbally, exercising their speaking and listening skills. A chart may be used by all to record their findings. Ask Dan Stevens for details.
