On their card, students have 2 sentences (one in French or Spanish and the
translation in English), they go around the class and quiz each other (hence,
Quiz/Quiz/Trade) and ask the other student if they want to answer in
French/Spanish or in English, the most challenging is to choose the Target
Language but the less able or less confident can choose their mother tongue (so
everyone can do it). Once they’ve ‘quizzed’ their partner, they swap roles and
then they trade their cards. It is quite engaging and challenging but also less
threatening as students have the choice to go for the easy option.
