Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) recognises that your privacy is important to you and is committed to giving you a service that meets your needs in a way that also respects your online privacy. We will apply appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information you share with us. The information you submit will be kept confidential and with the highest standards of security once it reaches our server. The information you provide will be entered into a single database and processed by Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) for the specified purpose in accordance with data protection in the UAE.

Any personal information provided by you to Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) through your registration and use of this website will only be used for the following purposes by Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) :

  6. Support students’ teaching and learning; Monitor and report on student’ progress; Provide appropriate pastoral care: Assess how well our school is doing.

This information includes your contact details, national curriculum assessment results, attendance information and personal characteristics such as your ethnic group, any special educational needs and relevant medical information. If you are enrolling for post 14 qualifications we will be provided with your unique learner number (ULN) by the Learning Records Service and may also obtain from them details of any learning or qualifications you have undertaken.

We will not give information about you to anyone outside the school without your consent unless the law and our rules allow us to.

We are required by law to pass some information about you to the KHDA and Ministry of Education
If you want to see a copy of the information about you that we hold and/or share, please contact Mrs. Claire Poole, Registrar.

Any personal information received from you will be retained by us and not sold transferred or otherwise disclosed to any third party, unless such disclosure is required by law or other court order. We shall also give you the opportunity to remove yourself from any of our mailing lists at any time.

Web Statistics

We collect web statistics automatically about your visit to our site. This information is used to help us follow browsing preferences so that we can regularly improve our web site. These statistics do not contain personal data and cannot be traced back to an individual.

Emails/Forms

In some areas, we may ask you to register your name and email address.
